What’s the best time to have a portrait session?
I'm a natural light photographer, so for the best lighting possible, sessions are outdoors, either half hour after sunrise or about 1 to 2 hours before sunset (depending on the session type). These times are referred to as "golden hour" and it's the most flattering. If it's a cloudy or overcast day, harsh sunlight won't be a factor so the session can be anytime.
What if the weather forecast calls for rain?
I monitor the hourly forecast a few days before your session and keep in touch with you to determine if we need to reschedule. It’s usually best to wait until the night before or morning of to decide to reschedule since the forecast can change at the last minute. If it ends up raining during our session, we’ll try again another day OR it can be indoor at studio.
What types of sessions do you offer?
I offer full portrait sessions for families, children, seniors, birthdays , boudoir, engagements, and weddings all year-round. With individuals and a combination of posed and candid.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes. Thirty minute mini sessions are only available throughout dates during the year. Dates, time-slots and locations will be posted on social media two months before.
Where do portrait sessions take place?
Sessions are outdoors in the SC area OR inside at JazzyJae Creations Photography Studio. I love to take advantage of the natural beauty of our area. For most sessions, structures and shade areas where the light is divine are always my first choice. There are great options all around, so even if I've never photographed at a specific spot before, I'm always up for exploring a new spot together! There will be a travel fee applied starting at $50 each 40 mile I travel, which will be applied to invoice at booking.
How can I book a session with you?
Inquire from my website about available packages and dates, from there you will be linked to booking page. ONCE BOOKED, I'll email you an invoice for the non refundable retainer (50%) to pay online and you'll be officially booked once it's paid. Retainer is non-refundable and if you're more than 15 minutes late to your session you will be charged $25 after 30 mins the session will be cancelled and you will be responsible for rescheduling and paying another non refundable retainer to book another appointment. The balance can be paid in person on the day of your session via credit, debit or cash. Mini sessions must be paid in full upfront. NOTE: Your date & time slot will be made available to other clients if the invoice is not paid within 7 days of the invoice date.
How can I pay for my session?
You’ll receive an invoice via email from JazzyJae Creations Photography Studio through SQUARE, click on “Pay Invoice”, enter your credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover). If you’re paying a retainer, the balance can be paid in person on the day of your session via credit, debit or cash. Mini sessions must be paid in full upfront. NOTE: Your date & time slot will be made available to other clients if the invoice is not paid within 7 days of the invoice date.
How will I receive my photos?
High res, edited images are delivered digitally via SHOOTPROOF or PIXIESET for your phone AND computer. They're are easily accessible/downloadable. Photos should be downloaded within 10 days or they will expire and I will not have access to them, however, if they are archived there will be a $50 fee to email them back over,
How long will it take to receive my photos?
Within 14 days from your session, your full gallery will be ready and you’ll be notified via email. Plan accordingly, if you need RUSH EDITIING the fee is $65 and can be delivered within 24-48 hrs.
Can I print or post my photos?
Absolutely! You’ll receive a print release in the event it’s required by a third party printer. You can also order prints via the software you will receive gallery! If you post online, remember to download/save them to your computer or phone first (don’t use a screenshot or the quality will be diminished).
Is there a sitting fee or pose fee?
No! The only additional fees that may apply is if there are more than the allotted people in your session as your package describes. An additional $20 per person.
What if I have to cancel my session after I already paid?
The total amount will be refunded minus the retainer/deposit, but I'll be happy to reschedule. New date must be within 30 days of original session date, if not you will be required to pay retainer again to secure another appointment.
